Playtronica Orbita with coloured magnets and TouchMe during a workshop

Concept

Creativity, shared experimentation and improvisation are at the heart of the workshop. Participants playfully discover, explore and create sounds. Devices by Playtronica invite experimentation: working in small teams, participants develop sound-art installations and turn everyday objects, plants or fruit into instruments. Using Playtron, TouchMe and Biotron they bring these instruments to life, turning everyday materials into surprising means of musical expression.

A particular highlight is Orbita: magnets in different colours are placed on a rotating disc. Each colour corresponds to a particular note and is detected by a sensor, creating melodic sequences that can be both seen and heard. The interplay of movement, colour, material and sound offers a playful approach to music. The workshop can be adapted to the audience, group size and theme.

Creative work on wooden fence panels in the nature space

Concept

Through exploring nature, simple sensory exercises and shared brainstorming, children discover the plants, animals and stories around them. They develop their own motifs about nature, the environment and community, then apply them to suitable surfaces or structures, such as outdoor wooden fences.

Using natural pigments, leaf stencils, charcoal, chalk and brushes, the group creates a shared artwork to which every child can contribute. The workshop encourages creativity, environmental awareness and collaboration, making children’s perspectives visible in public space.

The concept was developed for the fence panels at the Robinienwäldchen nature discovery space in Berlin, for the Environment and Nature Conservation Office of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district authority. It can be adapted to other settings, with themes, materials and duration tailored to the organisation and group.
